Why I created Athletik Tween

I created Athletik Tween while raising my own daughters and noticing something I wasn’t prepared for.

They were no longer little children, but they weren’t teenagers either. Clothing suddenly mattered to them, how it felt, how it fit, and whether other girls would notice. Yet everything available was either too childish or too grown up.

I wasn’t trying to start a fashion brand.

I was trying to solve a problem as a parent.

I wanted clothing that felt comfortable, stayed in place and didn’t make them feel self-conscious at school, sport or with friends. Pieces they didn’t have to adjust all day, and that didn’t push them to grow up faster than they were ready for.

Athletik Tween is designed for girls aged 8–14 going through those in-between years. Every piece focuses first on comfort, coverage and confidence so they can move, learn and socialise without worrying about what they’re wearing.

If you’re here, you’re probably navigating this stage too. I understand that feeling, and I hope this brand makes it a little easier for both of you.
