Designed For The Stage No One Designs For
Somewhere around 8 to 13, things change. She doesn’t want kids’ clothes any more, but teen styles don’t feel right either. Shorts suddenly feel too short. Tops don’t sit where they should.
She notices how things fit — and sometimes she stops wanting to join in because of it. It’s a small thing to adults. At this age, it isn’t small to her.
So we design around growing bodies: pieces that stay in place, give coverage, and let her move without thinking about what she’s wearing.

Not Kidswear. Not Teenwear.
Athletik Tween was created by a mum who watched this happen.
So instead of shrinking adult activewear or stretching kidswear sizing, we designed around tween bodies and tween psychology — coverage where she needs it, softness she wants to wear all day, and styles that let her feel like herself without growing up too fast.
At this age, clothing isn’t really about fashion. It’s about removing one more thing she has to worry about.

Made To Be Worn. Not Just Bought.
Most activewear for this age gets bought, and then quietly avoided. It rides up. It feels tight. It looks fine on the hanger but not on her. So she reaches for the same safe outfit again, and the new set stays in the drawer.
Ours is designed differently. The fabrics are soft enough that she’ll choose them, the coverage means she isn’t adjusting herself all day, and the fit stays put at sport, at school, or with friends.
Because she keeps wearing it, it lasts. That’s why we produce in smaller runs and focus on durability — not to sound sustainable, but so what you buy becomes something she relies on.

Clothes She Chooses Herself
The tween years are when independence starts showing up in small ways — especially in what she wears.
We design pieces that feel safe enough for you and grown-up enough for her, so getting dressed stops being a daily negotiation.
